Ok, my darkroom is temporarily out of action (home alterations) so I'm having to revert to negative scans. My favourites from a recent roll through my yashica samurai, not for the first time this camera has amazed me, shame its so dorky looking:( Also this is the first time in ages that I've developed double x in rodinal and I'm very happy with the results, the experts say that its no good but i see some great potential here. Metered at iso400 and developed 1+50 for 11.5 minutes.

Man what a creamy texture. Says 1940s movie or an illustration all over it. Everything rendered so well in the greys

@mike1allison thanks, I completely agree with you. This shot blows my mind. Some magic dust in that lens for sure. What I like/ dislike about this camera is that I have no decisions to make, the photographer can't fuck up the exposure even if he wants to unless I were to point it at the sun I don't see a situation where it doesn't deliver something half decent and sometimes like here it really delivers. You will see weird smears and artifacts in the highlights on some of these shots. Its happened before with XX, I wash as normal and yet there is a greasy residue on the non emulsion side of some of the roll, I can't remember if it only occurs with this camera but its something to monitor. Anyway I left it on as one of the rules of the pulverantilist manifesto is to celebrate this kind of shit lol.!

@heliossstardeath thanks mate. This one shot has tones and grain that is as good as or better than anything else I've ever shot, rodinal is amazing here. Mike summed it up well as a creamy texture, its beautiful when viewed on a decent screen and I'd love to think that Marcs arriflex could achieve something similar, 1/2 frame/|16mm, its not that far apart in concept, same 4:3 ratio too unless he's had it converted for wideframe. I think before shooting he should sacrifice 2 or 3 rolls to experiment in different developers ( as long as he can find a lab willing to of course).
