LomoChrome Metropolis in Mexico — a Photo Gallery by @serolfitnas

Film has its ways of transporting you to a different time and place in your past. It has the ability to capture atmosphere, mood, and feelings in a single roll. Community member @serolfitnas shows us just how film does this with an album shot entirely with LomoChrome Metropolis.

Armed with a Hasselblad 500 C/M, @serolfitnas captured the different street scenes in Celaya, Guanajuato in Mexico. The grainy texture of Metropolis and its unsaturated treatment of colors lend themselves well to the overall look and feel of the shots. Each frame looks like a distant memory—stylized and moody in nature but nevertheless full of details. We are loving the contrast of the shots, especially the deep blacks of the shadows and the muted tones that make the other fine details pop out.

Celaya is a city located in the southeast quadrant of the state of Guanajuato. It is famous for its grand colonial buildings like the San Francisco Temple and the Celaya Cathedral, which are considered to be architectural works of art. The town is a must-see for architecture enthusiasts who want to immerse themselves in diverse architectural designs and Mexican history. Celaya is also home to the Museum of Mummies where 22 mummies are on display. Next to it is the Municipal Pantheon, the first civil cemetery in Celaya and one of the most important necropolises in the state.
