Indiewalls Supporting Independent Artists With the Lomo'Instant Wide

Indiewalls is a full-service art consultancy that connects designers, brands, and consumers to a global community of independent artists. The company was founded in 2011 to utilize technology to create new opportunities for artists outside of the traditional gallery model. Their award-winning curators work to create visual narratives that are responsive to each property's surrounding environs and design vision. Indiewalls recently gave our Lomo'Instant Wide cameras to a few artists to document their work. Here we feature two of these artists: Adam Fujita is a designer and artist based in Brooklyn, NY, and Michael DeSutter is a mixed media artist and graphic designer living in Denver, CO. "In my studio there are always a bunch of different projects going at the same time. Sometimes it's a large canvas, an object that type or illustrations are being applied to, or digital work. There are also always lots of materials to be managed and ordered. My studio is a sacred space. It's where I can slow my mind down and really focus on the challenges of the day and work hard towards the opportunities of tomorrow." - Adam Fujita

"I work walks into my daily schedule as creative breaks to help me refocus. During these walks I often find sights that inspire the work I create. These scenes aren't particularly "beautiful" but for me, there's a gracefulness to the way anything drapes even if it's in a back alley or on a construction site. - Michael DeSutter

"During my time in NYC, I first found myself relating to the pieces of plastic flapping around in trees, their desire to play in the wind in a place where play seemed to always take a backseat to the hustle required to live there. Denver seems a little quieter to me (most likely because I moved here during Covid) but I'm still drawn to these little moments." - Michael DeSutter
