Floral Close-ups With the Lomo'Instant Wide

Dani, aka candeeland, is a master of instant photography and, in keeping with spring, flower portraits are a must. Finally, spring is here! Rarely have I looked forward to it as much as I have this year. The restrictions caused by the Corona pandemic still have us firmly in their grip, so blue skies, sunshine, and budding nature at least help a little to lighten the mood. And while we all stay at home and wait for better times, i.e. finally travel again, the spring blossoms come just in time to at least devote ourselves to our favorite hobby.

My favorite choice for close-ups is the Lomo'Instant Wide with the close-up lens. Even though it takes some practice to get the alignment right without the viewfinder, the results are very rewarding. Do you know one of my absolute favorite movies, "Green Tomatoes"? In it, the main character ends up living in a nursing home, surrounded by countless glossy pictures and photos of roses, because it makes her feel like she's in her garden. That's kind of how I imagine it: when I can't get out, I hang all the flower instants on my walls and am happy that I've made these works of art immortal.

I have a hard time deciding which one is my favorite, but this pink peony has already captured my heart, it looks so fluffy, almost like a cloud:

If you're ever in a bad mood because you feel restricted, give the close-ups a try, I think you'll be just as excited as I am. Fruits and vegetables are also great for a slightly different angle.
