Even during the COVID-19 global pandemic, some artists are able to get inspired and make more analogue art. One of these artists is Lomographer @vita-reducta as he shows us a bare, thrilling series of portraits that editorially depict our current reality.

The Berlin-based Lomographer is known for his knack for experimental aesthetics and processes, such as film soups and multiple exposures. He is also a fan of cross-processing technique. Some of his favorite tools for the trade are his Lomo LC-A, Sprocket Rocket and Canon EOS 5.

The Lomographer is a fan of slide films as well, loving the bright, striking colors they give. This time, he puts his own stylistic flares with the LomoChrome Metropolis film for a suspenseful portrait shoot.

Taking advantage of the naturally cool-hued tones of the Metropolis, he takes shots of his model. The series explores the lockdown situation that's happening across the globe, with how most people are cooped up in their homes, with no trace of contact with the outside world.

He makes purposefully made aesthetic juxtapositions with wigs and clothing, showing off how the Metropolis can work with both bright and dark colors. There's also a solitary vibe from his portraits as the pitch-black background is devoid of any other detail.
