Around the World in Analogue: Vietnam

1

“Around the World in Analogue” is your bite-size guide to the most amazing travel destinations around the globe, as told by the members of the Lomography community. Today, Lomographer Rita Santos (@rls) takes us on a countrywide tour of Vietnam.

The first destination of my South East Asia trip was Vietnam, which is the best place to start an Asian adventure. In this country, I discovered delicious foods (besides the famous bun cha and pho soup), beautiful landscapes, welcoming and helpful people, and a peaceful and friendly environment everywhere I went. Green was the predominant color almost everywhere and the light grey skies gave a misty look to the pictures.

I visited different cities like Hanoi, Hue, Ninh Binh, and Ho Chi Minh, starting in the north of the country and going all the way down, so the pictures reflect the differences between these places. From bike riding through rice fields to visiting the most impressive pagodas, every experience was special. If you plan to visit Vietnam, don't forget to check a Vietnamese karaoke and sing with the locals!
