“I love to travel around the world, visit new places, meet new people and learn a lot about different cultures. I often backpack with a friend of mine and we decided that it was time to visit South America. Since we have some friends in Argentina, and I was keen to see the end of the world, we were trilled at the idea to visit this lovely country.”

“Argentina is enormous. It is enormous on all the world maps, but we actually realized that only the moment we traveled the length and breadth of it. After a short stay at the capital we decided to start our adventure in Patagonia. It was amazing. All those mountains and the glaciers were impressive. I was speechless to see how big the Glaciar Perito Moreno was. And the sound of the breaking ice was like thunder. After that, we spent a few days hiking near El Chaltén, admiring the breathtaking landscapes, enjoying the silence of the woods and the never resting wind.”

“After Patagonia we traveled to the far North and visited Salta and the near surroundings. The difference from “one” Argentina to the other was incredible. Flying from the South to the North felt like flying from one country to the other. But it was really interesting. The landscape in the North was more barren, with red rocks and small lush green bushes. Here I totally fell in love with the tortilla, a local street food (my favorite version with ham and cheese), and took every chance to eat it whenever possible. We even reached the border with Chile at more than 4,000 meters above the sea level, and had the chance to look down on the other side. The air was thin, it was windy and cold, but absolutely worth it.”

“After four wonderful weeks we traveled back home. I felt like I had only a glimpse at Argentina and I still miss the good vibes I experienced there.”
