Trerice Manor withe the rodenstock

First test of a 1930s Rodenstock Clarovid ii . Apparently one of the first cameras to feature a rangefinder and rather rare these days . On my example the rangefinder is all but unusable so i elected to zone focus . The subject is Trerice Manor located a couple of miles away from me . I often go there to test my new cameras , one day i might actually make a good shot ! The camera wasn't the easiest to shoot , framing was very difficult , controls fiddly and the numbers on the film back didn't line up in the red windows properly so i only got 8 out of 16 shots , lesson learned ! it formatted like a half frame camera in that the natural way to shoot it is in portrait mode , like a giant olympus pen . On the plus side i do like the decidedly soft vintage feel to a couple of my shots and I'm sure next time out will yield better results . Alford hp5400 plus in rodinal 1+25 8 mins .
