How do I load 120 film in my Belair X 6-12?

  1. First you’ll need to open the back door of your Belair camera : pull down the door lock on the bottom corners of the camera and remove the back cover.
  2. Take out the 120 film taking spool, place it into the chamber on the right-hand side. Make sure to engage the advancing shaft properly.
  3. Place a fresh 120 film into the left chamber, pull out the film’s back paper tongue, slip it into the 120 taking spool opening, turn the advancing lever anti-clockwise to make sure the film is properly inserted.
  4. Close the back door.
  5. Turn the advancing lever anti-clockwise to advance the film until you reach the first frame of your format chosen:

6×6 (12 pictures per roll): Use the lower red frame window and stop at frame number 1; count every frame number in the window when you shoot and advance.

6×9 (8 pictures per roll): Use the upper red frame window and stop at frame number 1; count every frame number in the window when you shoot and advance

6×12 (6 pictures per roll): Use the lower red frame window, stop at frame number 2; Count even frame numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12) in the window as you shoot and advance.

The film is now properly loaded!
